Glendale Heights Parks, Recreation & Facilities - Creating Community through People, Parks & Programs
PATH Summer Camps

PATH stands for Play at the Hub. We invite all area residents and community children to participate in youth recreation programs designed to foster knowledge, creativity, physical stamina, and character in the Village’s after school, summer camp, and day off programs. We work closely with area schools to provide programs that complement schedules and curricula while providing participants with a nurturing, yet engaging, place to play.  All camp participants need a snack, lunch and swimming gear each day.

Camp Kinie:
(Ages 4-5 - Entering Kindergarten in September 2017)
Get by with a little help from your freinds at Camp Kinie! This camp is perfect for our youngest campers who are not quite old enough for regular summer camp. We invite your preschool aged children to get out of the house and into a program that will prepare them for school in a fun and nurturing environment. Campers will make new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Fee includes 30-minute swim lesson four (4) days a week, weather permitting.

PATH Summer Camps
(Entering Grades 1-6 in September 2017)
This summer camp provides participants a way to stay busy with art projects, athletic activities, and field trips. Camp counselors plan art and physical activities all summer long. Camp includes a 30-minute swimming lesson Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Field trips are usually on Friday.

Camp groups are divided into groups by grade level (i.e. 1-2nd, 3-4th and 5th-6th)

CAMP FEES are not prorated.  There is no daily rate available as we hope participants will capitalize on the fun and experience of the week-long program.

STEP Camp:  Step-by-Step
(Entering Grades 7-9 in September 2017)
Participants develop leadership and social skills in our camp designed to foster self-discovery and multicultural understanding.  Participants will focus on responsibilities such as leading camp activities and service projects.

PATH is the proud recipient of the 2014 Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) Outstanding On-going Program Award!

Registration Forms can be picked up at the Sports Hub.    Participants much register weekly; however, the registration packet only needs to be completed the first week your child attends.

Questions regarding camp or becoming a camp counselor can be directed to Recreation Division Manager, Dale Hanstad.
